Humbling Stories

Humbling Stories is about connecting you with young people of refugee backgrounds and their humbling stories. Every refugee's story is a story of overcoming odds – and most importantly, it's always a story of resilience. Some of these young people may have experienced the death or separation of one or both of their parents; others may have witnessed or experienced trauma, torture, or war; their education has been disrupted; and they have had to leave behind their extended family, friends, culture, and customs, as well as comfortable surroundings and supports. Refugee youth have often faced many hardships in their lives. These are stories of the courage of young people striving towards a better future in their homes. These remarkable stories can help you see our world with fresh eyes.
